14 December 2003 --- Enhancements

The CAS Registry BLAST^® software has been enhanced with the following new capabilities:

Use either a CAS Registry Number^® or a GenBank^® Number in CAS Registry BLAST searches
Receive an automatic update for any "not yet named" sequences in BLAST results if the sequence has been named when the result is opened at a later date

To use the new features, a new plug-in is required and should be downloaded by January 31, 2004. It can be downloaded from the Get Sequence Plug-in link on the login page navigation bar and installed by following the provided instructions. After January 31, 2004, an error message will result if the Launch CAS Registry BLAST button on the Sequence Search Assistant page is clicked and the new plug-in has not been installed.
